Overview

The Sekonic Spectrometer C-700R is designed for professional photographers who must produce quality results with proper subject color while working with multiple types and brands of light sources. A full-spectrum color meter the C-700R can precisely measure LED HMI and Fluorescent as well as tungsten and natural light. It is the only meter of its type that can measure flash illumination with wireless triggering (PocketWizard radio system only). The C-700R's large color touch screen displays light-source color spectrum for single sources or multiple sources comparison plus Kelvin (correlated color temperature) CRI (Color Rendering Index) Illuminance (footcandle or Lux) and light source filtration values in Mired CC as well as filter correction values for major light source and lens filter brands. Its high-resolution measuring system featuring CMOS sensor enables capturing spikes in light source output to provide unsurpassed color measurement accuracy. Different than any spectrometer today the C-700R not only displays more light-source information it also provides standard filtration information to correct and modify light color for cleaner recording and simpler post process.

C-700 Series Firmware Footcandle for Windows

IMPORTANT!:

  1. READ ME FIRST before you begin.
  2. This foot-candle upgrade only applies to the C-700 with serial numbers starting with JT10-XXXXXX. C-700s with the serial number starting from JT12-XXXXXX have the foot-candle reading built in, so you do not need to do this operation.

NOTE: Currently the foot-candle firmware update can be made only on Windows O/S. If you do not have access to a Windows computer, please contact your local Sekonic distributor to inquire regarding applying the firmware update.

NOTE: Please read the "Compatibility and Update between C-800/C-7000 Firmware and Utility due to product name change" before you begin.

1. To update the firmware of your meter, install the Utility first.
2. Please see the software guide above in the software tab.
3. Press the "Update" button on the main screen of Utility, and follow the instruction.
